This semester’s Penn College ceramics students missed out on making bowls for Williamsport’s annual Soup and a Bowl event, an important fundraiser for the Central PA Food Bank. The campus community can help those students leave their legacy, however, by filling a virtual empty bowl with an online shopping trip to the food bank by May 8.
Pennsylvania College of Technology students and instructors will again add their talents to the offerings at a popular fundraiser designed to help feed the hungry in our community. Begun more than 20 years ago in Harrisburg, the Central PA Food Bank’s annual Soup and a Bowl Fundraiser is scheduled Feb. 21 at the Genetti Hotel in Williamsport.
DePasqua (in Santa hat) and Karen P. Fessler, the college's director of procurement services, aid the food bank's holiday distribution. Construction management students contributed a record-setting effort this semester, packing 970 boxes for the agency’s Military Share program. Helpful college employees turn out to improve the lives of their neighbors.
